What an awesome privilege it is to partner with the VOV church and Pastor Jose Duarte in ministering to this "forgotten" community and the approximately 1000 people who live here.

Each week on Sundays and Tuesdays children (and some adults) receive a hot, nutritious meal made and distributed by women of the church. On Tuesdays after lunch Bible class is full speed ahead! Children come to do crafts and then learn a scripture verse and participate in a Bible story. We are beyond excited about what God is currently doing and what He is going to do in the future.

Each week attendance is taken and on average, we have 60-80 children come.

In the month of July we averaged 70-75 meals distributed, 15-25 children in Bible class and around 10-15 children saying the verse of the month!

**The last two weeks of May the children had the opportunity to say 6 of the 7 monthly verses we have memorized together. Anyone who could say all 6 on the same day would receive a special prize. We praise God that 6 children received a prize for their memorization skills.

Since the beginning of June, the children have been learning new verses for the opportunity to receive another special prize in October!
